At first I wanted my first child to be a boy because I am so into sports and I thought that if I had a boy then I could play sports and watch sports with him. But my first child turned out to be a girl and she’s a tomboy, she loves sports and loves to root for our favorite teams with me, so I couldn’t go wrong wither way!
I wanted a boy while being pregnant with my first. I had my mind made up that my husband would not be happy with a little girl because he would not be able to do the things with her the way he would be able to with a little boy. Once we found out that there was a little Princess growing inside of me, my heart sank, I even cried. Now I cant picture myself with a litte boy, and she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger!
I preferred to have a girl…..because girls to me are easier to raise……and i wanted a little girl just like meeee
I wanted my first child to be a boy. I think little boys are much cuter and more fun to play with. My first was a boy and I absolutely love him to death! He’s definitely a mama’s boy!
I wanted a girl and that is what I got. I ended up with 2 boys and 2 girls
My grandson refuses to sleep when he visits me. They keep him up all day at daycare. This CD sounds perfect for him. We have tried everything else!
I wanted a boy first, because I wanted him to protect his little sister. As it turns out, I got what I wanted!
I preferred my first child to be a boy…which it was…because I wanted my little girl that I eventually have to have a big brother to protect her. I never had that and wanted it for my children. Between her big brother and dad, maybe It’ll keep the boys away until shes 21! LOL
I prefered a boy so that later when I do have a girl she will have a big brother to take care of her.
I wanted my first baby to be a girl because the clothes are so cute for them. However I had a boy and it was just as much fun.
I wanted to have a healthy child, but I really wanted a boy first. I always wanted to have an older brother who I could look up to, have defend me if necessary. So I thought that it would be nice to have a boy first, so whether a boy or girl for the others they would always have that older brother to count on.
My first child was a boy, and i prefer it that way. When him and his 3 sisters get bigger, he will be their protector.. and when he does anything wrong his 3 little snitch sisters will come tell mom what he did. This will help control them more and make sure they are not wild and crazy kids.
I’m glad that my first is a boy because now I’m used to that kind of boyish toddler energy, so now that I’m having my 2nd, I’m completely prepared!
I did not have any preference on the gender of my baby. I just a wanted a healthy, beautiful, bouncing baby. I had a miscarriage and many problems getting pregnant, so a healthy baby really is a miracle in itself!
I always wanted a little girl first and that’s exactly what I got. I loved the name Rachel since it’s my middle name and so I wanted to have a girl so I could name her Rachel. She’s now 21.
i wanted a girl andf that is what i got
hazel j kennedy 6 months old
Hi….I had my first baby in july and I would’ve been happy with either…however, I wanted my first to be a girl because my only living grandma, who i am very close to, was sick and so I wanted to name her after my grandma……I got my wish, Madison Jeannette was born and sadly, my grandma, Jeannette passed away 3 weeks later. I know she kept fighting long enough to see her and I am glad I was able to pass on her name :)
I am expecting my first child and we are hoping for a boy! I have always been very tomboyish and feel like a boy would be easier for me!
Girl– I feel girls are easier to raise– plus I have nothing but girls names picked out!
I was hoping for a girl because I wanted to have that mother/daughter relationship I have with my mom but when I found out it was a boy I was disappointed but then I got excited at the same time….so when I went into pre-term labor at 28 weeks, and had my beautiful miracle angel baby 12 weeks too soon, I loved him more then ever, even if he is a boy!

I wanted a boy first. Being the oldest child and only girl, I knew I’d know what to do with a boy! I was afraid that if it was a girl, I’d be clueless! We ended up with our boy, Johnny is now 8 and now we have a little girl. Paige is 8 months!
I always said I wanted a boy first because every little girl needs a big brother. Of course, one day I said that to my sister, and she replied, “We have 4 big brothers—what good did they ever do us?” :)
Oh…and I had a son first.
I didn’t really care if my first was a boy or a girl, I just wanted a healthy baby. I did get a boy and now I am glad my first is a boy. We are now hoping to adopt a baby girl.
I wanted a girl, just because of all the cute baby girl clothes I got at my baby shower. I ended up with two wonderful boys.
I wanted a boy first because I always wished I had an older brother.
I didn’t really care but I guess I was leaning towards a girl, that’s what I had. She was followed by two brothers so Im grateful that I can experience motherhood with both genders! I love them all so very much.
Before I had my son, I so wanted a girl, but I’m so used to having a boy that I would’nt have it any other way. :)
wanted a boy first but it didn’t really matter
i prefered they boy…i have a grandson
i prefered the boy…i have a grandson
i wanted a girl badly both times!!had 2 boys who i love dearly!
I wanted boys all the way. I don’t want no stinkin girls
I wanted a boy first and got him. I thought the oldest should be a boy
I didn’t care as long as it was healthy. Thanks for the chance.
I waffled back and forth and really didn’t care. We didn’t know until the birth.
Yes, and we did, followed by three girls, another boy and another girl. We were both young and \
I want a girl. They have the CUTEST clothes…LOL
We are trying to conceive.
No preference.
The wonder of life is a MIRACLE so a healthy baby is the only thing that really matters!
I just wanted a nice, healthy baby. I didn’t prefer a boy or a girl and I didn’t want them to tell me what it was from the ultrasound before hand either. I still think the anticipation without knowing is so much more fun and natural. I am sure it is nice to be prepared for the sex of your baby but I just didn’t choose to go that way! Thank you for this contest, I am now expecting a grandbaby boy in September, they wanted to know! LOL
The exteneded family is boy-heavy, so a girl would be a unique delight.
I didn’t have a preference, as long as it was healthy. But I wasn’t disappointed when I had a girl!!
I want to win
either boy or girl would have been with me but it was a girl and I couldnt have been happier now I hope my next is a boy
I wanted a girl because my cousin has beautiful hand me down clothes. My husband wanted a boy…I think they all do! We waited till birth to find out, and it was a BOY! I can’t imagine not having him, but I’m ready to try for a girl (or another boy) now…and he’s only 14 weeks! Aaaahhh! Thanks a lot!
A girl would be so great because we have 3 boys. But when it comes down to it, I just want the baby to be healthy.
Would be perfect for my nephew who was born TODAY!
Either was fine… though I have to say even though I am morning the my little ponies and unicorns… I do love the fact that boys can really get away with less of a wardrobe and are really cheaper especially in the clothing department!
It didn’t really matter to me but my husband wanted a boy!
I was convinced I was having a boy because that is what I always dreamed I would have. It took 3 ultrasounds for me to finally accept I was having a girl. Now, I can’t imagine not having my little girl!
