I can tell you what felt the worst! My oldest son had separation anxiety and school phobia off and on from preschool through first grade. At one point, while the school principal and social worker held him down on the ground, I had to walk away! Worst parenting moment?! Cindi
I’ve been known to let them run around after dirtying up their clothes if I know we are going someplace where they will get messy again.
Outfit is okay – little too green and red in it
Using the TV as a babysitter
I didn’t give my son a bath before bed even though he was dirty from playing outside.
My 2 year old managing to get alcohol. My wife had left a bottle of banana flavoured booze out on the mini fridge, and when I was cleaning up I somehow missed it. Next morning went downstairs with my son, put on his Sesame St and went in to make him breakfast, came back to find him hugging the bottle! His breath absolutely stank of it too, I was pretty hysterical.
Got a new niece that would look adorable in this!
My worst parenting confession is: Putting her in her crib so I can relax for an hour.
My 4yo was attempting moves that she saw figure skaters making on tv one Saturday when she fell. Cried that her arm hurt. I called 2 friends, one an RN, the other an EMT. Both came to try things to determine the seriousness of the problem. Assumed a severe sprain. By MONDAY she was holding her lower arm all the time, so I took her in to the Dr. Yep, a break of BOTH bones, above the wrist. You want to talk poor parenting?
My one year old son bit me on the shoulder and I dropped him on the bid.
I love that dress. It’s adorable.Worst thing,I know there is something, maybe I will remember it later.
didn’t wash off the pacifier.
I can’t stand tantrums in public places, so I keep lollipops on me for distraction when he does decide to have one. I only use them when I can’t just leave the store, like when I’m grocery shopping.
Absolutely gorgeous!! have to have it.
I called some guy who pulled out in front of me an “idiot” while driving. Days later a tractor was going very slow and it was prolonging our destination of the library. When my 3 year old son realized how slow we were going he said “Mom, now what’s this idiot doing?”………GULP! I had to explain it wasn’t nice to say that and he said “But you say “idiot”. Lesson learned!
I would love to win it for my great granddaughter
not exactly a terrible thing…but it was something that to this day has left an impression on my three girls. At Christmas time, when all of the commericals are aimed at kids and all you hear is “I want that!”, I had my girls listen to “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” by the Rolling Stones. For many years, they honestly believed that it was a CHRISTMAS song, and that it was true! When I’d hear one of them say “I want…” all I’d have to say was “what does mick jagger say?” and they’d know that they couldn’t always have what they wanted! We still laugh about that and have to listen to it during the holidays!
I spend too much time on my computer. (sob) And, as Bill Cosby once said..’Whats wrong with chocolate cake for breakfast, it has eggs…flour..
Too much TV :o
My worst parenting confession… Not baby proofing the house. My daughter got ahold of fingernail polish remover. It was yellow, maybe she thought it was Mountain Dew but she drank half a bottle of it. After calling poison control and them calming me down said that small amount wouldn’t hurt her. It sure hurt me! I learned a lot that day!
yelling in public to discipline my son.
letting my sister babysit never again
When I was a new mom the first time, I sometimes forgot I had a new baby. Once I left my son, in his stroller at Costco. I was almost to the car before I ran back to get him. Another time I left him in a pharmacy in Brazil. The clerk had to run after me as I was walking down the street.
Worst parenting moment for me came once my son was grown and making terrible decisions in life and I had to just stand back and watch him because he would no longer listen to me. Sometimes it’s really hard to go from parenting a child to parenting an adult. I think the two year old tantrums are 100x easier!
i’m a little ashamed to admit this but my daughter who was 4 at the time was really scared of bugs-so at times when she wouldn’t listen i would say oh look a bug. that would get her attention and then i could get her to stop what she was doing. yes definately a bad parenting confession.
I still judge othe parents too harshly and jump to conclusions even after being in their shoes
i put my sons thumb in his mouth he wouldn’t take a pacifier and he wanted to suck on something
Ok mine isn’t a bad parent- it’s bad parents. My husband and I were both home and each of us thought the other was watching our 11 month old. I was in the bedroom wrapping Christmas presents and he was in the bathroom helping my 3 year old with the potty when we heard a thud and a terrible scream. Somehow my baby (who wasn’t even walking yet) managed to climb onto the couch and fall over the back of it onto her head. She started throwing up and we rushed her to the er. Try explaining how two parents (both of whom are teachers) are home and no one sees how an baby gets a severe concussion. I’m sure she’ll use it against us when she’s a teenager!
getting mad at my son, teaching him to drive.
I would this pretty little sundress for my little neice
In the grocery store over candy. He dropped to the floor like a wet noodle. I left my cart-picked him up while he’s screaming and left the store
Let grandkids eat potato chips for breakfast
When my daughter was around 8 months old, she stopped drinking her formula. I started putting in nestle quick to get her to drink it.
my daughter was going off to a friends pool party and I sent her off in her normal clothes! needless to say it was a disaster!
I gave my oldest son an oreo at 3 months and dr pepper at 4 months. I have given my 9 month old big red(soda), piece of chocolate chip cookie, chocolate, dr pepper, food from chic-fil-a and all other types of stuff he probably shouldn’t have.
Having used cloth diapers on both my daughters, I decided I was going to try the \’disposable\’ kind with my son in spite of the cost (this was almost 20 years ago). While attending a large family gathering and having just changed my son\’s diaper. I observed the familiar facial grimace of an infant moving his bowels and then the odor permeated the air making it obvious to all around us. Being the ever dutiful mother I immediately went into the guest bedroom and bathroom where we were staying to change his diaper. I am ashamed to say that I promptly emptied that turd into the toilet and reapplied that expensive disposable diaper with medical tape that I found in a drawer. We re-entered the gathering with noone the wiser. UGH!
I fell asleep (I was working the graveyard shift) and forgot to pick up my son from a birthday party at a park. I awoke to police officers banging on my door telling me my son has been at the police station for almost 2 hours. Talk about the guilt and shame.
worst bad parenting confession is my son watches too much tv!!!!
My husband has a few more than me. But I suppose my worst parenting moment is letting my 2 1/2 year old son still have a bottle at night because i’m too tired to deal with getting him off of it. He’ll get off of it eventually!! lol

Telling my child “because I said so”. I never intended on turning into my mother!
I would clean my kids pacifiers in my wife.
Bumped his head (not hard) trying to put him in a swing.
I give in sometimes just so I don’t have to hear them complain.
Using the TV as a baby sitter. Now my four year old is addicted. Help!
With our first child, we were told by the pediatrician to give prune juice to our baby to help her have a BM. Well this is where we messed up: we didn’t pay attention close enough to where you add water to make it half and half. So one full ounce bottle of prune juice in our 8 month old baby equalled to purple poop all over our child, including her hair, ears, and the wall and the bed….the child was purple! She felt good though! No more consitpation!
I was sitting in the waiting room for my infants routine check up. I noticed his fingernails were long so while waiting I trimmed his nails. I was startled by our name being called and cut too close and drew blood.
I’m so guilty of buying one too many videos for the express purpose of a few moments of silence in the bathroom.
I must to win this dress for my little niece!
my daughter who is 40 still remembers me making her wear mittons so whe wouldnt bite her finger nails!!! granddaughter would look so cute in this dress!
Probly the worse thing that I do as a parent is let me kids plays video games and stay on the computor too much!!
