  2. Dawna Schneider Says:

we each went through the baby book and wrote down names we each liked. We then showed each other the names we liked. We got it down to five Girl names, and five Boy names. We wrote them down on a piece of paper. I held the boy names and had my husband draw one. He did the same for the Girl names. What ever the name was on the piece of paper is what the child was called. Name that stuck out in my mind Girls Aurora Dawn, Silivia rae, Vanessa Jo. Two of the boys names Dexter Raymond, Sidney Charles, Dexter Devon. This was a fun way to pick names.

  9. Sandi Smith Says:

I was exhausted and all I wanted to do was sleep, but the nurse kept coming back in and badgered me for a name. Finally, because I just couldn’t decide on a name I decided to let the Gods decide. I picked up my much thumbed book of Baby Names and placed the book on my raised knees. I made a deal with myself that when the book was allowed to fall open, with eyes closed, I would take my index finger and drop it on the book. The name that was under my finger (no matter if it was horrid) would be the name to go on the birth certificate. And, thus, my son Vincent got his name.
